3. The yellow sheet in the front of your folder is our schedule for the fall with
anthems and rehearsals. We're working on getting it on a calendar you can consult. (Joel is the bomb!!)
Note we are changing the October 9 anthem.
The one I wanted to do is back ordered.
4. We've ordered and received new folders for those of you who either
"forget" to bring the three you have at home back, or who have patiently dealt with duct tape or other garbage. Some of you will get new ones
this week. There is a hand strap on the folder as well as a strap to keep it from flopping open. You can take the strap on the bottom off, but leave it in your
folder.
5. We have a great mission project for you! You can provide books for the
Panama mission trip or med supplies. Marilyn Watson talked about it Sunday a.m.

More Yogi next week . . .
I am dealing with my anxiety to see Scottie Scheffler win the Tour Championship by reflecting on worship today.
There have been a few times that I've felt as good about what we've done, but sometimes those good feelings are
ones of escape. Not today. We have the strongest group of men I've ever conducted in my choir. Getting ready today, I observed that when you all sang
loud, I heard several voices, but not the best sound. You backed off a little and the resulting sound was wonderful. The wonderful sound lasted through the
anthem and our pastor was musically and theologically correct to exclaim "Wow" after we sang.
LESS IS OFTEN MORE and you showed that today.
For reasons that aren't important now, we needed to sing what we sang today. However, coupled with our
congregation singing "For Everyone Born" and the absolute JOY with which they sang it at the end of the morning, today was one of the best
ever.
We sang two incredible truths today: "God will raise you up and hold you in the palm of his hand" and
"God will delight when we are creators of justice, joy, compassion, and peace." I do believe that is a lot of the gospel.
